The travel strike is over! I have a few fun trips scheduled for this year. I can’t wait to go back to Milan this weekend, visiting Berlin in May and having a few day trips to Lausanne. Then there’s Sardinia in July, and probably London in the fall.
I am looking forward to walking around and doing some exploring… but in my experience that is always better accomplished in comfortable shoes. And since my Revas have succumbed to the high-pressure job that is being in my regular rotation, I have no great ballet flats to resort to. Must.Fix.Immediately!
The criteria: they must be leather or suede, they must be priced under $100, and of course they must be cute (duh.)
Here are the ones that fit the bill the best. I am having trouble picking one. What do you think?
glittery heels • suede bow flats • sparkly clutch
• gold cuff • travel guide
• peppermint mocha
Even if you don’t use snail mail, you’ll want to make these gorgeous envelopes after seeing this great tutorial! I am more or less utterly craft-impaired, but they are too lovely to pass up.
Need ideas and inspiration for your gift-wrapping sessions? This might help, and this, too.
Or maybe wrapping is the least of your problems, because you still haven’t finished your Holiday shopping. How about saving some money and making someone feel extra-special by making something just for them? The Craft Pack has tons of great ideas.
Gosh, how I love No Doubt. (Photo by hazyskyline)
A clever repartee can come in handy (for more than breakups): for instance, you might create a hilarious caption for a silly photo and win some travel vouchers… for when the next attack of travel fever comes up! Go to http://www.holidayhypermarket.co.uk/dollslife/ and let that smart mouth of yours run wild.
Even little nomad souls like myself can turn into homebodies sometimes… especially when it’s as cold and snowy as it is here right now, and I can stay home and drink hot tea and bake these with the girls.
And for all the chocoholic out there… you know sometimes you need a quick fix. It doesn’t get any quicker (nor more chocolatey!) than this.
