So if Memes bug you, move along people. Nothing to see here.
Truth be told, memes bug me too. Sometimes. Most of the time. But occasionally one of my friends will find me in a good mood and I’ll decide to post after being tagged, instead of politely ignoring it (is that an oxymoron?)
This time, it was the lovely Loukia. So here we go:
Where was your first kiss?
On a park bench, after a concert. With a really cute, lovely boy who of course turned out to be a two-timing jerk, but I didn’t know that at the time so the kiss was perfect.
Have you ever seriously vandalized someone else’s property?
Absolutely not.
Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex?
Yes. My hands have done their fair share of slapping during my teens. Italian boys are grabby.
Have you ever sung in front of a large number of people?
Yes, when I was 6 I sang with my two best friends at a kids’ talent show they had at my school. We didn’t win, what a shock
What’s the first thing you notice about your preferred sex?
Eyes, voice.
What really turns you off?
Stupidity, know-it-alls, big ego.
What do you order at Starbucks?
Usually, a soy Caramel Macchiato. But I often order a Soy Vanilla Nut latte, no-whip, during the Holiday Season. Or an iced double tall vanilla soy latte in summer. (Yes, I go to Starbucks A LOT
)
What is your biggest mistake?
Wasting all those years yo-yo dieting trying to lose weight after Sarah’s birth. It totally messed up my matabolism.
Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?
Hurt, hurt? No. But stayed up late, had that slice of pie even though I was full or ate too much Shrimp Lo Mein? You bet.
Say something totally random about yourself:
I’m intolerant to dairy but I can’t seem to give it up for any length of time. And living in the land of raclette and fondue doesn’t really make it easier!
Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?
Someone once told me I reminded them of Penelope Cruz. I always wondered if I should have recommended by optician
Do you still watch kiddie movies or TV shows?
Duh – doesn’t every parent? Though I have to admit I’m a fan of Disney movies and Dreamworks.
Did you have braces?
No, thank goodness.
Are you comfortable with your height?
Somewhat. Wouldn’t mind being a couple of inches taller. Though at 5’6” I am actually fairly tall for a Sardinian
What is the most romantic thing someone of the preferred sex has done for you?
On my birthday, a few years ago, my husband planned a whole surprise evening, we drove to Lucerne, where he had booked a table at a new Thai restaurant (one of my fave cuisines), bought tickets to see a movie I had been wanting to see, and then took me for drinks at this great bar on the beach, where we sat on overturned boats painted in bright colors and watched the sun set over the Alps and the lake.
When do you know it’s love?
When you would do anything for someone. When even their bad traits seem charming. When you start planning your future together and can actually see yourself creating a life with that person.
Do you speak any other languages?
Italian, some Spanish and some German.
Have you ever been to tanning salon?
No, yuck.
Have you ever ridden in a limo?
Yes! While in Chicago for BlogHer09, I rode in a limo with Jill, Melissa, and some other lovely gals on our way to the fabulous Nikon party, where I had several delicious cocktails, too many awesome tapas and burned my hand on a tea light (did I mention the cocktails?) and got smothered in lotion by the gorgeous chef. Well, my hand at least.
What’s something that really annoys you?
Snobs, tailgating, impatient or rude waiters, people who work in designer stores and look you up and down when you step in, people who imply that because I’m a relatively young mom I must be an idiot, and how much shopping sucks in Switzerland.
What’s something you really like?
Reading a good book. Window shopping with friends. Going on a date with my husband. Pretty much anything chocolate-covered or chocolate-filled. Bryan Atwood shoes and Rebecca Minkoff bags.
Can you dance?
Yes. But I have to feel comfortable.
Have you ever been rushed by an ambulance into the emergency room?
