Kate Spade, that is! I told you this before, but I really do love how Kate Spade combines classic and quirky.

I just got en e-mail in my inbox screaming (yes, they scream, my e-mails): “an extra 25% off sale items!” Well, damn. I’m totally tapped out, my poor credit card is a little depleted, but if I wasn’t…. ah that would be nice. And this is what I would get:

The Charm City Kip is gorgeous in this mauve color, and it’s the perfect clutch for any occasion. The gold chain and beautiful details make it elegant, but because of the color, size and playful bow it can also be paired with a more casual outfit, to add a feminine, fun touch. Originally priced at $265, now it’s $139.50 with the extra 25% off all sale items!

The Karina blouse is a gorgeous top in a classic, elegant shape – but in this graffiti print it’s also really modern and fun, and so perfect for summer! It works just as well with a crisp suit as with a cute pair of shorts, like in the picture, and while it was originally priced at $225, with the new sale offer it’s $118.50!!

The Blakely, from the Sullivan Street collection, is one Kate Spade bag I have had my eye on for a while. It just seems like the perfect tote. The straw version (with orange leather trim and 14-karat gold plated hardware) is so fun! And it would be the perfect everyday summer bag, because it’s fun and bright but also classic enough to go with anything. It was originally priced at $375, but now it’s $197.25!

The 25% discount on sale merchandise is applied when you place the items in your cart; and on top of that, Kate Spade is now offering free ground shipping on all orders – wow.

Of course I hope you know this is not an affiliate post, nor is it a paid review or anything of the like. (Though I’d gladly accept anything Kate Spade might want to send me as thank you for promoting your stuff for free ;-) You’re welcome.)

Ah, virtual shopping. There’s nothing like it. Except maybe real shopping.

I just came across a contest on Natasha’s blog, where the challenge is to make an outfit with a budget of 30 UK pounds, using pieces from the new Tesco clothing line – the best outfit will win a £30 gift certificate.

So to summarize: the chance to put an outfit together for fun, the perfect excuse to spend time looking at clothes, and the chance to win a gift card to actually buy clothes. Hello? I’m there.

My outfit is inspired by wishful thinking: since the weather forecast for the next few days is pretty awful, I’m dreaming of summer. Sunny days, floaty dresses, walking along the lake… and this is definitely something I would wear:

Because I’m me, let’s start with the shoes: studded thong sandals (£15) in a warm brown, with a cool ankle cuff detail. What’s not to love? This is something I’d pair with just about anything in my summer wardrobe, but here, I paired it with the perfect summer dress (£12): a bright color (especially great if you are sporting a tan), and a comfortable, flattering cut.

Because I am not always comfortable wearing short dresses when I might have to sprint after my 4-year old or lower myself into one of the low-low boats that travel up and down the Limmat and the Zurich lake, I’d add a pair of leggings (£5) to the outfit – but that would take the total to £32.  I know, gasp! ;-)

You can skip the leggings, and for £27 you’ll have a pretty, summery, super-affordable outfit with a boho feel – right up my alley!

What do you think?
