It’s been too long.
Or maybe just long enough.
Because when you feel like you are spinning your wheels, like you are experiencing the “treadmill effect” — when you are walking and walking without a clear idea of where those steps are taking you, or even where you want to go… well, that kind of gives one the feeling that they might be journeying to nowhere, doesn’t it?
(Truthfully, no journey takes you nowhere, but it is possible for a journey to take you somewhere different from where you wanted to go. )
Been there? I definitely have. In fact, that is how I felt a few months ago.
When you lack a sense of direction, you can come to feel like your actions have less meaning; and I don’t know about you, but if I feel like my actions are meaningless and forgettable, I feel like I am wasting my time. And who wants to put work into something that feels that way?? Not me.
So I took the time, I did the work, and now I feel like know where I am, and where I’m going. I feel a new sense of purpose, I feel like I have found my place, and I have a renewed energy and motivation to set new goals, dream new dreams, and make them happen.
A sense of purpose gives our actions new meaning; it makes each thing we do, each decision we take, a step towards our goals.
Nothing is meaningless when we look at it like a push in the right direction — and what is the right direction, you ask? That’s kind of up to each of us. Which way leads to our best selves and to the life we want to create for ourselves? Well, that’s the direction of travel 🙂A sense of purpose gives our actions new meaning; everything we do becomes a step towards our goals. Click To Tweet
Globetrotting in Heels was lovely, as long as it felt like a reflection of my life, my thoughts, my interest; but it no longer feels that way, so it is time for a little reboot. Where Globetrotting in Heels stood (so to speak), now stands Crazy, Amazing Life. I have decided to take the plunge, and take the blog — and my life, but more on that soon — in a new direction, a direction that better captures what I feel passionate about, what drives me, what makes my world go round. I hope you will stick around while I bring new life to this little corner of the web — I’m excited about this, and I want to share so much with you!
To give you an idea, let’s just say that there will be more inspiration, more down-to-earth posts and probably a touch less fashion and lifestyle (but I do still have fun and travel, and plan on sharing that!)
There might also be the occasional health-related post, as I share things that I feel others might find helpful in dealing better with stress or conditions that affect their ability to live life the way they want to. I am currently training to become a nutrition and lifestyle consultant, and my goal is to help others conquer their physical challenges so they can live life to the fullest.
I am also pursuing a CPE, so I can take my language coaching a bit further, rather than limiting it to close ones and referrals from friends.
And I have been working on myself, so I am hoping to bring more motivational and inspirational posts to get you fired up on whatever your passions are, the same way I am!
In other words, this is going to be an interesting ride 🙂
This space can now be found under www.crazyamazinglife.com and www.crazyamazinglife.net. I’m also working on some small design tweaks, but hopefully you won’t ind it to be too jarring a change from the space you know and love.
Stay tuned for more news and more posts! I’m back for real this time, and it’s going to be loads of fun.
Much much love,
