It’s not every day you get to dress like the protagonist of a work of literature. In fact, I think you’ll seldom want to. But this might just be one of those rare occasions.
I don’t much go for “themed” collections, but Banana Republic did a good job here.
The collection contains several pieces featuring (faux) fur
but there are also great everyday pieces, pieces that can easily go from office to date, and that have “wardrobe basic” written all over them, like the lace front cardigan and the Marilyn pencil skirt (though if it’s a pencil skirt you are after, BR has this one on sale right now.)
But where I think this collection really excels is in giving you beautiful and fairly affordable LBDs that you will wear again and again.
And then of course there are the accessories to accompany those LBDs, from delicate clutches and ultra-feminine pumps to costume jewelry. My personal favorites are the Deco Layered Bead Necklace and the Ice Dome Cocktail Ring, both items that can be put to good use to accessorize a wide range of outfits – statement jewelry is always a good bet!

Very nice. It seems all the stores are selling furs this year! Maybe the time to try.
I used to work at Banana. It was fun because we got to see all the new fashions as soon as they came into the store.
I have been eyeing this collection as well. I love anything with black lace.

I love Anna Karaneine and plan to read the book once more before watching the movie. The faux fur and lace LBD are pieces I can really see myself wearing, and of course the cocktail ring (my weakness).
