After May (a blur), June was going to be my “take it easy” month, the month when I wouldn’t plan too much, stress too much. And yet, after the backlog of stuff from May, it feels like June went by in a heartbeat. Here’s a bit of what’s been going on, on and off the blog:
Traveling: No new trips this month (and I’ve really been missing London!) but I am going home to Sardinia in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, I am exploring Zurich. Join me for a virtual walk along the Schanzengraben.
Wearing: shockingly, florals.
Craving: a new pair of espadrille wedges and a 50′s wide skirt. (Which is why I included them here.) Here are a few I am considering:
as for skirts, this week I found this cute shorter version on sale at H&M… which will likely be featured in the near future in an OOTW post
more florals!
Eating: miniature scones and delicious salads, served on beautiful vintage china at Babu’s.
Drinking: water! Nothing better to keep you hydrated on hot days. To keep it from getting boring, I add lime slices mint leaves, or a few frozen raspberries and a grapefruit slice.
Painting: my nails with OPI Dulce de Leche. Especially delicious paired with peep-toes or metallic leather sandals!
Reading: a fellow emotional eater’s journey “from obsession to freedom” in Dayna Macy’s Ravenous.
Listening to: ATB’s “Distant Earth” double album
What have you been up to? What were the highlights of your month?

Oh I crave the tough one! What a pity I didn’t spot that one when I was in front of Guess with my mother and her credit card yesterday. A missed opportunity.
Trips: No new trips this june. In fact, I haven’t travelled at all these past few months. Somehow, I’m realising now that I have to plan so much, I crammed all of my trips in the second half of 2011.
Wearing: Skirts and flip flips, finally!
Craving: just a beach holiday which is coming soon
eating: lots of simple dishes featuring good, quality meat, grilled and seasoned with beautiful veggies. Last night, I was crazy about some baby roast carrots. They turned out to be so tasty and sweet.
drinking: natural apple juice with no added sugar. I realised I had been drinking too much sprite as I am not really keen on drinking water during meals, and that is extremely unhealthy in the long run.
reading: lots of guidebooks and travel websites to prepare for my trips!
That was a typo: I meant flip flops lol
Such a lovely summer post! Love espadrille wedges these days, too!
I’ve been to OpenAir St.Gallen this weekend, it was amazing, lots of great music, friends, dancing and plenty of sunshine in the end… But I didn’t sleep at the festival site, I prefer my own cosy bed
On paper, looks like you have an idyllic life
With respect to the shoes, I’d go for the teal and red. Yummy.
Love those nude wedges! Great blog!

Love those polka dotted ones! TOO adorable! Though my feet probably wouldn’t.
Oh, my newest thing right now is pinterest, so you will see me following you and your fashion through there and trying to be as cool as you are.
But as for June, I went to a blogging conference, my first, and couldn’t believe how fun it was. And how relaxing, too. I only wish you were there. When will we meet – anyway? In NYC sometime in our future – maybe?
I like to plan ahead!

What I wouldn’t give to be able to wear those heels again…I lived in them! I waitressed in them…can you imagine?? No wonder I now wear flats all the time. Hit 50 and it’s kinda downhill…
Love that shade of polish. OPI just Rocks!!
Hope all’s well!! Busy, busy summertime!
