Whoa. I planned on a couple of weeks off, and next thing I know it’s been over a month. Oops.
Truth be told, not much to report – let me give you a summary: Valentine’s Day, chocolate, school holidays, Stella in the hospital, Stella out of the hospital, Elisa kind of freaked, diet, no chocolate, weight loss, crappy weather, back to school, more crappy weather, exercise, jeans fit better, freaked out about atomic power plants, still no chocolate. That about sums it up. So I’m sure by now you can see for yourself, but let’s all say it together: February was kind of a bust. And so were the first two weeks of March.
Are you clamoring for a do-over? I’ll allow it. (In fact, I was kind of wishing for one myself.)
March is half-way along already, but it’s not over, so how about some New Month’s Resolutions to make the best of the next two weeks? ’cause it may have been a bust, but somewhere along the way I realized that you’d got to make the bet of what you’ve got. Ready?

This is Tracy Anderson. She is, cute, petite, a trainer-to-the-stars and a bit full of herself, but she is also kind of awesome – at least her method is. She does say “teeny tiny” a lot and it makes me a bit stabby, but if you drown that out with some good music her workouts are great. Which is why I have decided that in the next two weeks…
1. I will do one Tracy Anderson’s workouts every.single.day.
Wish me luck. And if you are feeling generous, maybe send an oxygen tank and some bionic limbs my way, ’cause her workouts are way harder than they look.
I am really really looking forward to April – quite aside from Easter, which is that magical time of the year when you have a good excuse to eat chocolate to your heart’s content (giving Christmas a run for its money in the title for “most wonderful time of the year”, if you ask me), this year April will also bring a weekend in London with my best friend, a weekend when my husband will be taking care of the girls and cook and all, something he didn’t object to at all, because he is awesome like that. In fact, he is just generally awesome and supportive and patient (gotta be patient to be married to me, I tell you) and I often alternate between wondering how I landed such a great guy and congratulating myself for it. So I have decided that
2. This month (or at least what’s left of it) I will refrain from nagging and/or bitching and/or snapping at my husband entirely.
If I can handle not eating chocolate for a month I can certainly reign in my temper and refuse to let my inner bitch out in the open.
Mind you, this resolution is limited to my husband. Mostly because he deserves it, bust also ’cause I have my limits.

The weather is still kind of awful here, but spring is coming – and with it, that long-awaited/dreaded tradition that is Spring Cleaning. Since so far I haven’t stuck to any of my household related resolutions (thereby confirming my status as a full-fledged undomestic goddess) I feel like I should at least make a little effort, so
3. This month I will declutter one room in our apartment.
Most likely the bedroom, so that I can make room for the spring wardrobe. What – a girl’s gotta find motivation somewhere, right?
But enough about me. What have you been up to? Any plans for this month?

I like that philosophy – new month resolutions. Mine is to track my points for the next 2 weeks. And to wear skirts/dresses at least 3 days a week.
Glad you’re back!
Good thing March is in full swing after your February. What a hard month but things seem on the up with you. A trip to London next month, jealous much!! Enjoy.
I miss you! You’ve been busy. Time sure does fly, huh? I’m looking forward to Easter. It’s a huge celebration for us Greeks! And the chocolate and all the food? YUM! Also, I’m looking forward to warmer days… the end of winter… and SUMMER! I cannot wait! Winter has been way. too. long. You’re going to have a blast in London! xox
My sole resolution is to be a bit kinder and more patient with myself. I need that.
(I hope the hospital bit turned out okay in the end. x)
Oooh so nice to hear from you! I can’t believe March is halfway over either!!! I’m looking forward to hearing how the workouts go.
Welcome back!! If it makes you feel any better, you’re a much more prolific blogger than I am. But how you got through February sans chocolate boggles the mind. It was my go-to fuel during this long, cold and lonely winter.
I’ll try and do at least 20 min of the workout every other day.
I just bought the Tracy Anderson Mat Workout dvd and yes, it’s damn hard! Also because she doesn’t explain much or count as she’s doing the exercises. But I do feel that it’s making a difference. And I need all the help I can get as I have only two more months of mat leave left

Honey, welcome back. I was getting a bit worried there and would keep checking your blog. You sound a lot happier.
Oh, I love the idea of decluttering just one room. Doesn’t seem like too onerous a task… suspect that in my case it will be getting rid of some baby crap (bits of plastic and fluff) to make room for some more baby/toddler crap.
Good luck with the resolutions.

Well finally! I thought we would never meet, the girl who, like me, is not all too fond of this place what we, for now, call home…
I’m so glad you made that comment on my blog, cause now I know, there is another chocolate loving girl out there like me! So if you want, drop me a line by email, we can chat further, we live in the same city, well I live 20 min. away from it.
Love your writing style, take care,
Maureen
Tracy Anderson is a bad ass extraordinaire. I watched her and Gwyneth Paltrow on Oprah once and I was like, “Um, not for me! If Gwyneth is huffing and puffing I’ll go another route!” haha
And in vein of clearing cobwebs, I vow to organize my pantry
Hello Elisa, thanks for visiting my blog. I’m kinda worn out after reading a couple of your posts and your profile…you are a dynamo! Look out London! Robx
p.s. no white sock in black shoes here…just Brits in socks and sandals…unfortunately!
Hi Neighbor! thanks for coming along my blog and providing some more insight into Switzerland’s hidden treasures – and I agree, bakeries and definitely one of them! A shame you dont think the same as of the wine, did you try a white wine from Lavaux region? Oh well, its a matter of taste anyway, and being italian… I bet you have some good references to compare it to!
Anyway, im happy to meet you and hope to read more about. Your stylish adventures… I was considering of including a shopping section to my blog! (and, btw, one of my favorite shops ever is particulary in Zurich….)
Have a nice week!
Good for you! I agree – Tracy Anderson’s workouts ARE much more challenging than they look
Hi you recently called by my blog and left a comment which was much appreciated. I did reply but on post as you have no reply set. I am returning the kindness and calling by your blog in return. I always enjoy discovering another ex- pat blogger.
I do not like the sound of Tracy Anderson so I think I will stick to my Wii Keep Fit programme.

Welcome back! SO glad to see you. Is everyone OK? Stella alright now? A month w/o chocolate? Holy cow! Impossible.
Seriously!
I need to make a list for April. It’s almost here and I want to remember the important stuff. Thanks for the reminder!
