As an all-or-nothing person, I tend to be too hard on myself. It’s either perfect or nothing. But really, small steps are the way to go most of the time. Small, non-threatening changes are likely to bring about big, lasting changes over time.
It all start with a decision, and then sticking with it. Just picking a goal, or a few doable targets, and just focusing on that.
This month, this is what I will be repeating myself:

If you find this helpful, feel free to adopt these mantras as your own for the month – or as long as you like, really. I hope you find them empowering, and encouraging. Here’s to us sticking to our goals this month!

“Don’t underestimate your worth” is a good one. Maybe a mantra like that would help me stick to my weight loss goals?

I love it! I’ll add one (which is something I’ve only started learning to do) is that I must remember that as much as I’m a mother, daughter, sister, friend, etc, and I have responsibilities towards those around me, I must remember to look out for myself and sometimes prioritize my well being, spiritually & mentally. I must not lose sight of who I am, my happiness and my goals and not compromise myself too much. Basically, I’ve got to learn to look out for ‘me’ too
(as we all should do sometimes, this is especially targeted at the individuals who are ‘yes’ people and find it hard to say ‘no’ at times)
I love this! I need to try to be my own muse as well. Great post.

I find that whole “don’t underestimate your own worth” to be a big one for me, lately.
Good for you for taking the time to put it down in a thoughtful and creative way.
