So we have been talking about peep-toe boots. And I mentioned that I haven’t yet found the perfect one for me. That isn’t entirely true: I have found several perfect ones, but they are a bit out of my budget. My mum did always tell me I have expensive taste.
As much as I dislike copycats, I have to admit that I am often relieved and excited to find a style I had been coveting at a more affordable price. So imagine my delight when, after running across these Giuseppe Zanotti booties, with the peep-toe and caged side detail which I just loved (and which rang in at $437 on sale)…
… I then came across these Kelsi Dagger ankle boots (the style is called Karina) which look incredibly similar, only with a wedge instead of a heel – which frankly, is way more comfortable to walk in. Price tag: $119.95.
The Karina also comes in Nude, which is great to elongate legs, and Pewter, which like most metallics can be worn year-round, and at the same time is much more wearable than silver and (gasp!) gold.
Now all that remains to decide then, is which color I’m going to get. Because this is tempting me more than the Jessica Simpson Sabina that I thought I had pretty much settled on! Might need a little input here: tell me, which one gets your vote?

I think the Kelsi Dagger ones look more expensive and classier!

I agree with Emily, the Kelsi Dagger ones get my vote too, but then it depends on what you’re going for. To my totally trained and expert eye, the GZ’s heel verges on S&M (something about the shape) and the JS ones look zen biker (I like them so I guess zen biker is a good thing), but the KD are edgy chic.
Am I anywhere near? How do you classify them?

hmmmm difficult decision! if it had the jessica simpsons one in nude I’d get that one, need a bit of nude for summer
but I like the kelsi dagger one aswell, it doesn’t look as cheap as the jessica simpson ones, and I’d get it in nude
