Saw, Loved, Want: Monsoon Summer 2010 collection

in Things I like,fashion

I know, I know, it’s not even spring and we are talking about summer? But check out the Summer 2010 collection by Monsoon, and I dare you not to feel happy just by looking at the beautiful prints and bright colors!

Case in point:

Angelina jacket and Nicole maxi dress

Tanzania cami (left) and Kai Mai tunic (right)

Aniso tunic (left) and Monica maxi dress (right)

For those of you in not familiar with the brand, Monsoon is the UK brand that the better-known, amazing accessory brand Accessorize is part of. And as you can see their clothes are just as fun as their accessories! And another thing I love… you can see below, right beside the Tavistock dress:

See that? Most styles are available up to size 18 (US size 14) with some going up to size 22 (US size 18). Now if that’s not another good reason to love this brand, I don’t know what is :-)

How about you? What collection are you looking forward to?

Ohmigosh, my face just exploded when I saw that they had a short dress! I, as a whole, am too short to pull off an ankle-length, but THEY HAVE SHORT ONES! Let’s get some for BlogHer. We will look hawt.

Thanks for sharing this label/company with us! Lately, I have been especially interested in “ethical” fashion. I’d really like to start buying Fair Trade fashions, but I don’t really know where to find them. I dig some of the stuff from People Tree, but I am CRAZY about these pieces you posted by Monsoon. I am talking CRAZY – especially their “LOVE” philosophy. It’s right up my fair trade alley!!!

Every time we go to London or Wales I insist on Matt taking a break at a pub so I can shop in the local Monsoon. SWOON. I love that store. And that first outfit you posted is just gorgeous. Love it. Are you going to Blogher? I am – hope to see you there – maybe in that dress!!!!

I like these a lot better than the H&M line you last talked about – not that I know anything HA! It does look though, that the Kai Mai model has had more than enough of the Mariachi band.

I remember going into a Monsoon store when I visited London & also Accessorize in Europe..I bought all these accessories for cousins wedding in Athens…I fell in love with the stores & was very excited when we finally got the stores in Oz…So over here all the stores have now displayed all the Autumn & Winter clothing. But its nice to see what styles & trends to look forward to for Summer 2010/2011.
As always the Southern Hemisphere is always a season behind.

Keep posting all your fashion favourites..I love seeing whats happening in the North

I cannot WAIT to wear a maxi dress. Heck, I can hardly wait until it’s warm enough to wear ANY dress! :)

Cool! Those are really beautiful designs! I am a big fan of colorful intricate designs like that. Glad you are mentioning the summer already. Maybe it will make it come sooner!
