Re: your #2… man. That is always a tough one and really just so silly. I think it’s even harder for SAHMs to insist on some alone time because we’re so attached to our kids alllll day long. I’m not saying it’s WOHMs don’t have a hard time, too, but at least they have more practice being apart from their kids. I can only guess it might make it a tad easier.

That said, good luck with it!! I’m looking forward to carving out more me-time, too. It’s as important as everything else we do!

(PS: I could pretty much cut and paste your whole list for my own! – minus the expat stuff, obvs

Hooray for being the queen!

I wish I would convince myself to consider BlogHer in NYC. I have family there, so it wouldn’t be that much of a stretch, but I haven’t looked into the financial aspects, nor am I sure I’d fit in, since I rarely post within the BlogHer site, etc and don’t know enough about it. Ah, well. Maybe eventually I’ll kick my butt into gear!

I have similear resolutions, but spending time for myself is something I would like. I feel like I do everything for everyone and when I sit down to work on some crafts for my small business, I ALWAYS get interrupted. That gets frustrating!

So *that’s* what the Three Kings day is about–eating baked goods. We had some yesterday and it was delicious and my youngest, who already tries to rule everything, got the little king. I’m glad she didn’t know about being royalty for a day. It would have been even more unbearable.

Oh, my goodness gracious me, I LOVED the Sookie books! They are set very close to the town where I went to college. I tore through them this summer at an alarming rate. I’ve only seen season one of True Blood. It’s really different, but I liked it! As soon as season two is on DVD, we’ll watch it, probably all in one day. (Marcus is hooked.) I totally have a crush on Eric.
