[...] My goal for the coming year: I always have these accomplishment attacks on my birthday. This year I don’t. Still, there is room for improvement, so this is what I want to be happy about and feel like I accomplished, come my next birthday: I want to get in shape, I want to make a life for myself and my family here in Zurich, I want to spend quality time with each member of my family individually as well as all together, I want to take care of myself not only physically but mentally and emotionally. Oh, and I want to go to BlogHer10 and sneak in a visit to the wonderful friends I left in NY! [...]

I've been out of town and in an internet-less hole, so I missed your move, but I've been thinking about you. NYC will always hold a special place in your heart. This was a great goodbye post. I'll see you in the Big Apple at BlogHer next year...and I'm sure our favorite city will welcome us back with open arms!

Elisa, it was so nice to meet you at BlogHer. (We sat at lunch together on Friday & talked about your move.) I hope you find things to enjoy in your new home & maybe we'll get to see you next year at the conference.

I'm so sad for you right now. As a native NYer I totally know what you're experiencing, and yes, you have truly been living in the greatest city in the world. Moving sucks, but there are great changes in the journey ahead. Good luck to you, and I look forward to finding out more about where you're headed (just found your blog, so I don't know much about you!)

I would say I hope the move goes smoothly, but they never do, so I hope it goes as well as can be expected. I never lived in NYC, but I did live in Chicago, and then moved to the mountain state, it was crazy and took some getting used to, but I love it here now. Of course you get to go someplace very exciting, and I am jealous but since you have such fabulous fashion sense I will keep reading.
