My parents were born in Europe (Hungary) and we visited both countries, several times, and had the pleasure of introducing my New England rooted husband to the old world ways of my ancestors. Haven't been able to get back, once we started having kids. Hopefully, one day, the 6 of us will get the chance to return and I can introduce my clan to a large part of their heritage. We bought our house like two years ago and we are still not really done. I don't think you are ever really done decorating/updating! But I do have a shell of a space set up for me in a great spot in the basement. It has floor to ceiling bookshelves...but that's about it! lol! I hope hubby fixes it soon. I want something that is all my own that I can make as girly as possible! I hope you get your room! It sounds like heaven! I would love a room of my own.
