Your room sounds fabulous. A woman after my own heart - chocolate and wine - you can't go wrong.

I have several cousins who live in Austria and I absolutely loved visiting with them. My parents were born in Europe (Hungary) and we visited both countries, several times, and had the pleasure of introducing my New England rooted husband to the old world ways of my ancestors. Haven't been able to get back, once we started having kids. Hopefully, one day, the 6 of us will get the chance to return and I can introduce my clan to a large part of their heritage. In the meantime, can I move with you? Just asking. Good luck and keep us posted w/pics, please!

The best thing about moving is re-organizing and re-dreaming everything and how you want it to be. Im remodeling right now and am constantly dreaming. Im loving it.

I would love a room of my own. We bought our house like two years ago and we are still not really done. I don't think you are ever really done decorating/updating! But I do have a shell of a space set up for me in a great spot in the basement. It has floor to ceiling bookshelves...but that's about it! lol! I hope hubby fixes it soon. I want something that is all my own that I can make as girly as possible! I hope you get your room! It sounds like heaven!

I am now officially old-ish....I turned 50 on my last birthday. And I finally got MY room.....the EXACT room you describe....minus the wine. Shhhhh.....don't tell anyone.....I DO have Chocolate! And I adore my Office. People KNOW to leave me alone when I am in there. Just my bichons are allowed in there with me. It is heaven, my friend....and I really, really hope that you get YOUR room when you make your move. And I really hope that you'll be continuing to blog??? Yes?? Cuz, I'd really miss your blog. We got the same kind of taste, girl!

Oh, your move sounds like something out of a book...or maybe a movie. I've never been to Europe and still hope to get there one day. My sister has been there and absolutely loved it. I hope you post photos once you're settled in.

And the whole 'room of my own' thing - I'm still working on that myself. I had one when we moved into our new house but it's been completely invaded by my husband and kids. At this point, I'd be happy with a cozy little quiet corner with a big down- filled chair and ottoman.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

I have a room like that. They only problem? It doesn't have a lock (swinging French doors).

So I can't keep the kids out, if they really want in.

In my next life, I'm gonna live in a SAFE.

I'm new here, but ooh, Switzerland =) I have a brother and sister who live there, just outside of Baden, so I can't possibly pass up a post with the country mentioned without commenting. It's a sickness.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that I totally agree. If I added chocolate or wine to a space that was already all mine? My husband would never see me again. Why mess with perfection? =) Good luck with (and enjoy) the move!
